HE CAME, HE SAW, HE FELL FLAT ON HIS BACK
It was great to see Markus joining us again last Sunday but it wasn’t his excellent skills, his not losing a single game or his almost scoring all the goals that impressed us on the day. It was his most excellent celebration after scoring a cracking goal. Riding back to his own half with hands raised triumphantly in the air and a victorious smile on his face things soon started to go wrong. His front wheel started lifting. Slowly at first but then faster and faster until eventually (unable to unclip in time) he found himself flat on his back on the center spot with his bicycle still attached. An excellent celebration Markus and well done on a convincing win.
FOUR CORNERS AND THE SPOT
Last week saw the second instalment of our new Four Corners and the Spot game. Kol went first (to show how it’s done) but that didn’t go too well and he got his worst time so far. Markus put in a good performance and got a best time of 1:03 just 1 second behind the current fastest time of 1:02. David put in a good 2nd round time of 1:15 to take 2nd place on the day. PC Paul couldn’t beat his first round time of 1:17 and finished 3rd.
Now then Young Jack just hasn’t got the hang of this game yet. Hacking and wafting will not do the job young man. He got an incredible 2:34 in his first round. We don’t have a time for his 2nd round as we think he is still going ...and going ......and going .......and going.
